Theory #5: He's allergic to kittens. Okay, this one's just a joke. But wouldn't that be ironic? Rescuing kittens while simultaneously suffering from a severe allergic reaction. The sheer commitment!

Honestly, nobody knows. And Takeshi isn't exactly forthcoming with information. Ask him about his past, and you'll get a grunt and a glare. Ask him about his motivations, and he'll just stare at you until you feel like you've personally offended his ancestors.

Always be prepared. Have your gear in top condition. Know your spells. Practice your swordsmanship. Takeshi respects competence. Laziness and incompetence, on the other hand, will earn you his silent disapproval. Which, trust me, is worse than being yelled at.
