How To Practice Firefighting In Another Sims Town

Hey Simmers! Ever get bored of your Sim always fighting fires in the same old town? I mean, Oasis Springs is great, but sometimes a Sim’s gotta see new… burning things, right?
So, you wanna take your firefighting skills on the road? Let’s talk about how to send your brave Sim to another town for some serious action!
The Easiest Way: Just Move! (Duh!)
Okay, this is the most obvious. Pack your bags, sell your llama statues (or don't, I guess!), and move! You can use your phone or computer to find a new house in any of the available worlds. Problem solved! More fires to fight!

But what if you like your current house? Maybe you've spent way too long perfecting that one room. I get it. Moving's a hassle. Don't worry, there are other options!
The "Visit" Strategy: Short Trips, Big Flames
This method is a bit more…unreliable. You basically have to wait for a fire to happen in another town while you're visiting. Think of it as a very, very specific form of tourism.

Here's the plan:
- Go to the world map
- Click on another town
- Look for a house or community lot to visit (Maybe scope out places that look like fire hazards... just kidding! ... mostly.)
- WAIT! This is the annoying part. You have to be there when a fire breaks out. Good luck with that.
Is this efficient? Absolutely not! Is it exciting? Maybe, if you like living on the edge of fiery chaos! Think of it as…immersive roleplay. Your Sim is a travelling fire inspector! Yeah, that sounds good.
Plus, there is no guarantee you'll see any flames. Your Sim might spend their entire vacation sipping nectar and admiring the scenery. (Which, let's be honest, is a pretty good vacation anyway.)

The Secret Agent (Cheats!) Method: Maximum Control, Maximum Firefighting
Okay, here's where things get interesting. This involves a little bit of cheating. (Don't worry, your Sims secret is safe with me!). Cheats allows you to force an event! Which can include a fire!
First things first, press Ctrl+Shift+C to open the cheat console. Then type in "testingcheats true" and press Enter. You should get a message saying cheats are enabled.
Then type in "fire.start_fire" and press Enter. This will ignite something on your current lot, which isn't exactly what you wanted, but stay with me! This is the testing stage!

Here's the tricky bit. You will probably need to download a mod that allows you to trigger events in other towns. There are tons of these online – just do a quick search for Sims 4 mods that trigger events!
Warning! Always download mods from reputable sources. You don't want your Sims getting a computer virus (in the game or on your actual computer!).
Now, with your mod installed, you should be able to target a lot in another town and… Bada bing, Bada boom! A fire! Your firefighter Sim can then travel to that lot and save the day! (And probably yell at whoever started the fire. We all have our quirks.)

Important Note: Career Progression and Other Worlds
Keep in mind that your Sim’s firefighting career is tied to their home world. So, while they can respond to fires in other towns, they won't get promoted or earn daily pay while they're out of their main neighborhood. Think of it as volunteer firefighting. Your Sim is doing it for the good of Sim-kind!
So, there you have it! Several ways to get your firefighter Sim battling blazes in new and exciting locations! Whether you choose to move, patiently wait for random fires, or embrace the power of cheats, get out there and make those virtual flames your Sim's… well, you know.
Now go forth, Simmers, and fight those fires!
