Okay, so picture this: I’m scrolling through my phone, bored out of my skull waiting for my doctor's appointment. You know how it is, right? Endless loop of social media, maybe a game or two… Suddenly, a friend DMs me: "OMG YOU NEED TO READ THIS." Attached is a link to some random web novel. I’m dubious, I really am. I mean, I usually stick to actual books, you know, with paper and everything. But boredom won, and I clicked.

Fast forward three days, countless sleepless nights, and an alarming increase in my caffeine intake, and I’m completely, utterly hooked. The novel? Some isekai thing called "Chronicles of the Celestial Sword" or something equally cheesy. The hook? The protagonist, a total badass named Adrian, is destined to save the world. Standard fare, right? Except… the thing that got me? I ended up transmigrating into the body of his mom.

I Became The Hero's Mom?! What Now?!

Yep, you read that right. Me, a slightly (okay, maybe more than slightly) cynical woman in her late twenties, stuck in the body of a fictional character who's basically a glorified background prop. I mean, seriously, what are the odds? You probably thinking: "Seriously, another Isekai story?" To which I say: I know, I KNOW! But hear me out! This one is… different. Or at least, I'm trying to make it different.

The original "mom" character in "Chronicles of the Celestial Sword" was, let's just say, lacking. She was mostly there to be a damsel in distress, motivate Adrian with her tragic backstory (because every hero needs trauma, am I right?), and generally just be… there. Basically, a cardboard cutout with maternal instincts. No way was I letting that happen.

So, here I am, armed with my (admittedly limited) knowledge of the future plot and a burning desire to not be a useless plot device. My mission? To become the best darn mom this fictional world has ever seen. And maybe, just maybe, rewrite a few of those tired old tropes along the way. (Hey, a girl can dream, right?)

Spoiler Alert: Mother Knows Best (Maybe?)

Now, the big question: spoilers. I know some people are vehemently anti-spoiler, but let's be real, half the fun of reading these kinds of stories is guessing what's going to happen next. And since I'm technically living the spoiler, I figured I'd share some of my… observations. (Disclaimer: things are definitely not going according to the original plot anymore, so take everything with a grain of salt... a big grain of salt.)

First off, Adrian is way more angsty than the book described. I mean, I get it, destiny weighing on your shoulders and all that, but seriously, kid, lighten up! He needs a hug and a serious pep talk, and maybe a few fewer training sessions in the monster-infested forest. Child Protective Services would have a field day with his original upbringing.

Secondly, the "evil organization" that's supposed to be the Big Bad? Turns out they're not entirely evil. They have some legit grievances, and their leader is surprisingly charismatic. I might be starting to question who the real villains are in this story. (Don't tell Adrian, he'd have a meltdown.)

And finally, the biggest spoiler of all: I'm actively trying to prevent the tragic backstory from happening. You know, the one where I get kidnapped and tortured and used as a plot device to fuel Adrian's rage? Yeah, not happening. I'm learning some magic (because apparently, I have latent abilities that the original character never bothered to unlock), making some alliances (hello, surprisingly helpful blacksmith!), and generally just trying to make sure I don't end up tied to a stake waiting to be rescued. I'm thinking proactively. What do you think?

Honestly? I have no idea. I'm making this up as I go along. But one thing's for sure: this is going to be one wild ride. And I'm inviting you all along for it.
