I Became The Youngest Sister In Law

Okay, so picture this. You’re minding your own business, probably scrolling through TikTok or trying to perfect your sourdough starter (RIP, my starter), when BAM! Your sibling announces they're getting married. Exciting, right? Cake! Dancing! Family drama! But then it hits you... you're about to become a sister-in-law. Honestly, I never saw it coming. My older brother, bless his heart, always had the dating prowess of a confused pigeon. So when he actually landed a gem like his now-wife, Sarah, we were all pleasantly surprised. Everyone, and I mean everyone, had opinions on my life choices. “Are you sure you want to major in that?” “Shouldn’t you be thinking about…settling down?” It was a never-ending barrage of well-meaning (but sometimes slightly annoying) suggestions. But hey, free advice is free advice, right? (Even if I ignored 90% of it).

Building Bonds (and Avoiding Family Feuds)

The best part of becoming the youngest sister-in-law was getting to know Sarah's family. They welcomed me with open arms (and offered me endless amounts of food, which is always a win in my book). I learned about their traditions, their inside jokes, and their…quirks. Every family has them, right?
