I Never Abandoned The Tyrant Chapter 1

Okay, spill the tea! You know I've been diving headfirst into this whole 'isekai' thing, right? Well, I just started reading "I Never Abandoned The Tyrant," and whew, chapter one did NOT disappoint. Like, grab your popcorn, people, because this is gonna be a ride.
So, the basic gist? Our protagonist (we'll call her MC because, let's be real, I can't remember her actual name right now...oops!) gets transported into a novel. I know, I know, totally original, right? But wait for it... she becomes the childhood friend of the future tyrant. Dun dun DUN!
And this isn't just any tyrant, mind you. We're talking the kind of guy who, judging from the novel (which, let's assume, is totally accurate... or is it?), probably kicks puppies for fun. Okay, maybe not puppies, but definitely kittens! Wait, are kittens more defenseless? This is a moral dilemma. Anyway!
Must Read
The MC's mission, should she choose to accept it (and she kinda has to, doesn't she?): prevent this sweet little cinnamon roll – err, future tyrant – from going completely off the rails.
Chapter one sets the stage. We see our MC as a kid, all wide-eyed and innocent, stumbling upon the young prince. He's, predictably, all alone and misunderstood. Cue the violins!

Now, here's where it gets interesting. She doesn't run screaming for the hills. Oh no. This MC, bless her cotton socks, decides to befriend him. Why? Well, maybe she's got a hero complex. Maybe she just has a really bad sense of self-preservation. Or maybe, just maybe, she sees something good in him. I'm betting on a mix of all three. What do you think?
Their first interaction is pretty classic. Think awkward silences, forced smiles, and that underlying tension of "Oh God, I hope he doesn't kill me." You know, the usual first-meeting jitters.

But here's the kicker: she's actually nice to him. Like, genuinely kind. And this, apparently, is a huge deal. Because, you know, everyone else is either terrified of him or plotting his downfall. So, her simple act of kindness? Boom! Game changer.
And the chapter ends with them… actually, I can't remember exactly how it ends. Something slightly ambiguous, probably involving the prince looking at her with a sliver of something-that-might-be-hope in his eyes. You know the drill. Gotta leave you wanting more!
Initial Thoughts?
Okay, so far, so good. I'm cautiously optimistic. The writing is decent, the premise is intriguing (if a bit cliché, but hey, I'm a sucker for tropes!), and the characters are… well, they're there. But I have questions! So many questions!

Like, how is she really planning to stop him from becoming a tyrant? Is she gonna, like, force him to attend anger management classes? Or maybe just buy him a puppy? Okay, maybe that's the answer to the kitten problem! A puppy cancels out the kitten-kicking urges! I’ve solved it!
And what's her endgame? Does she want to rewrite the whole novel? Does she want to change his fate entirely? Or is she just trying to survive long enough to get back home? Because let's be honest, surviving in a world where you know the future, and the future involves a bloodthirsty dictator, sounds… stressful.

Also, I'm dying to know what kind of powers (because obviously there will be powers) she’s going to get. Can she control minds? Can she teleport? Can she bake the world's most delicious cake and use its sheer deliciousness to disarm any potential enemies? I vote for the cake option. It's practical and delicious.
So yeah, that's chapter one in a nutshell. Are you hooked? Are you ready to join me on this wild ride? Because I have a feeling things are about to get very interesting.
Stay tuned for my thoughts on chapter two! And don't forget to send snacks. Reading about tyrants makes a girl hungry.
