Into The Light Once Again Characters

Okay, so "Into the Light" dropped, and suddenly everyone's back in the Tower. Like, did they forget they had other things to do? Probably. I mean, who needs Gambit when you can have more ways to get killed by the Witness? Right?

Let's talk about these returning faces. Some are exactly who you'd expect. Others…well, let’s just say they've had a glow-up. A personality glow-up, that is. Maybe.

Lord Shaxx: Still Shouting, Still Supportive

You know Shaxx! Our favorite helmet-loving Crucible master. He's back, and he's… pretty much exactly the same. THANK GOD! He's still shouting encouragement (or maybe just shouting in general, hard to tell sometimes, isn’t it?). He’s got the new Onslaught mode for us to test our skills in, and you just know he's secretly judging your loadout. Don't disappoint him!

Seriously, though, Shaxx is a comforting presence. He's like that one friend who always tells you you're doing great, even when you're failing spectacularly. We all need a Shaxx in our lives, don’t we?

Arcite 99-40: The Underappreciated Bot

Speaking of judging your loadouts, Arcite's here! Remember him? The Crucible Quartermaster from way back when? Yeah, the one nobody ever talked to because they were too busy chasing after god rolls from Shaxx. Poor guy!

Well, he’s still a bit of a sad sack, but he’s got some bounties for us. Baby steps, Arcite, baby steps. I always felt a bit bad for forgetting he exists. Maybe this is Arcite's time to shine! Maybe! Probably not, but a Guardian can hope, right?

The Drifter: Snakes, Gambit, and Existential Dread

Alright, alright, alright! The Drifter is back! And he's… well, he's still the Drifter. Expect shady deals, cryptic warnings, and maybe a few snake oil remedies to “enhance your Light." He’s even running his own version of Onslaught! Seriously, everyone is doing it!

Is he secretly a good guy? Is he secretly working for the Witness? Who knows! That's the beauty of the Drifter. He's a walking, talking enigma wrapped in a dirty duster. And we wouldn't have him any other way, would we? Plus, you know he’s going to try and subtly recruit us to his side again. Classic Drifter!

Holliday: Back in the Hangar, Back in the Fight

Amanda Holliday's back, and it feels... good, doesn't it? It wouldn't be the Tower without her, you know? Still fixing ships, still being the down-to-earth voice of reason amidst all the Light and Darkness drama.

Seeing Holliday offering support and camaraderie is genuinely heartwarming. She's a reminder of what we're fighting for: home, family, and the little things that make life worth living. Even if that life involves fighting interdimensional space gods. You know? The Usual.

Eris Morn: Still Cryptic, Still Covered in Hive Goo

Of course, Eris Morn is lurking around. You didn't think she'd miss out on a good apocalypse, did you?

Expect more cryptic pronouncements, unsettling stares, and probably some unsolicited Hive wisdom. You know, Eris things. But hey, at least she's on our side… probably. I mean, she says she is. And she helped us a lot so…

Seriously though, Eris adds an edge to everything. She’s the reminder that this isn’t some game. Things are really bad, and we need to be ready. And maybe wear some protective gear around Hive goo. Just a thought.

Master Rahool: Decrypting Engrams and Our Patience

Rahool. Our favorite Engram decoder. Still complaining about how difficult his job is. Still giving us blues when we expect Exotics. You know, the usual Rahool experience.

But hey, he's a constant. A familiar face in a world of chaos. Even if that face is perpetually frowning at the subpar loot he's giving us. We can't live with him, and we can't live without him. Right?

So, there you have it! The gang's all back together. Ready to face the Witness. Ready to grind for loot. Ready to… well, probably die a lot. But hey, at least we'll have good company while we do it!
