My Bias Gets On The Last Train 13

My Bias Gets On The Last Train 13

Okay, so picture this: me, sprinting through Seoul Station, backpack bouncing, fueled by a potent mix of caffeine and desperation. Why? Because the Last Train 13, the one standing between me and my cozy bed (and let's be real, a mountain of kimchi jjigae), was about to leave. And guess whose face I saw plastered on a giant ad right next to the platform? My ultimate bias, Park Seo-joon. Mocking me, basically, with his perfect smile while I'm sweating and gasping for air. The irony was painful.

I made the train, by the way. Collapsed in my seat, probably scaring the poor ajumma next to me. But that whole experience got me thinking...

See, sometimes, life feels like that desperate dash for the Last Train 13. We're so busy trying to catch up, chasing deadlines, scrolling through endless feeds, that we forget to... well, breathe. And in the midst of all that, our biases – those radiant beacons of perfection – are just out there, existing. Taunting us with their seemingly effortless success.

The Bias Blindspot

Let's be honest, we all have biases. Whether it's an K-pop idol, a Hollywood actor, or even a super-efficient colleague, we admire them. We follow their work, we maybe even dream of being them (don't deny it!). But here's the thing: it's easy to fall into the trap of comparing ourselves to these curated images. We see their highlight reel, not the bloopers, the struggles, the sheer amount of hard work behind the scenes. And that can lead to some serious self-doubt. Am I right? Anyone else feel personally attacked by their bias's flawless Instagram account?

It's a weird paradox, isn't it? We love our biases, their work inspires us, motivates us... but they can also make us feel inadequate. Like we're always one step behind, constantly running to catch up with something that's probably unattainable anyway.

Last Train of Thought: It's All About Perspective

So, what's the solution? Should we ditch our biases entirely? Absolutely not! (Okay, maybe if they're genuinely problematic... but you get my drift.) The trick is to reframe our perspective. Instead of seeing our biases as unattainable goals, we should view them as... well, inspirations.

Think of it this way: Park Seo-joon (bless his incredibly handsome face) didn't become a global superstar overnight. He worked his butt off. He probably faced countless rejections, dealt with crippling self-doubt, and maybe even had a few near-misses with the Last Train 13 himself. The point is, even our idols are human.

Instead of comparing our journey to theirs, we can learn from their resilience, their dedication, their passion. Use their success as fuel to ignite our own fires. Learn from their choices, their work ethic, and apply them in our own lives. But remember, everyone’s journey is different.

We need to be kinder to ourselves. We need to acknowledge our own struggles, celebrate our own small victories, and remember that progress, not perfection, is the name of the game. And maybe, just maybe, we can finally stop sprinting for the Last Train and enjoy the ride.

So, the next time you're feeling overwhelmed by your bias's brilliance, take a deep breath. Remember that behind the glamour, there's a real person with real struggles. And then, get back to your own journey. Because let's be honest, that's the only train that truly matters. (And hopefully it has comfy seats and snacks.)

What do you think? How do you navigate the bias minefield? Let me know in the comments!
