Okay, so you know how everyone has a cat or a dog? Well, I have a zombie. A female zombie. Her name is Beatrice. And yes, she’s my spiritual pet. Deal with it.

I know, I know. Sounds a little…out there, right? But trust me, Beatrice is way more chill than your average chihuahua. Plus, she doesn't shed. Big win.

How Beatrice Became My Spiritual Guide

It all started with a dream. A very vivid dream. Think technicolor zombie apocalypse meets a Renaissance fair. Beatrice was there. Not trying to eat my brains. More like offering me a slightly moldy apple. It was…oddly comforting.

I woke up feeling strangely at peace. Like I’d just had a therapy session with a corpse. And that's when it hit me. Beatrice wasn't just some random undead dream character. She was trying to tell me something. She was my spiritual guide. In zombie form. Go figure.

You might be wondering, why a zombie? Why not a fluffy bunny? Or a wise old owl? Good questions. Here’s my theory. Zombies represent the things we try to bury. And she’s surprisingly helpful around the house. Need someone to scare away unwanted guests? Beatrice is your gal. Lawn gnomes giving you the creeps? Beatrice will take care of it. Critters eating your garden? One glimpse of Beatrice and they're gone. Plus, composting is a breeze!

Communicating with the Undead

So, how do I communicate with Beatrice? Well, it's not exactly a two-way conversation. More like…vibes. I get a sense of what she's trying to tell me. Sometimes it's through images, sometimes through feelings. Sometimes it's just a general feeling of…wrongness. Which, you know, is pretty standard for a zombie.

I also use a pendulum. Don't judge! It's surprisingly effective. I ask Beatrice yes or no questions, and the pendulum swings accordingly. It’s surprisingly accurate, even if my friends think I’m completely nuts.

Other times, I just know what she's thinking. Like right now, I know she's telling me to stop writing about her and get her some brains. Just kidding! (Mostly.)
