But there's a major complication. Enter Yan Mingshen's younger brother, Yan Wangui. Imagine the quietest and most dangerous viper, and you will still not have pictured this man! He's intense, he's protective, and he clearly does not like Jian Suizhou one bit. And honestly? He has every right to be suspicious. Jian Suizhou is, after all, supposed to be the source of his brother's suffering in the "original" timeline. So the question is, is Yan Wangui a threat to Jian Suizhou, or is he a key to survival? The "Scum Gong" Fails

Jian Suizhou tries to be a jerk, really he does. But it's like watching a kitten try to be a lion. He mumbles something about "being busy" and "not having time," but his heart isn't really in it. Mostly because his brain is still processing the fact that he has amnesia and a system in his head, and this whole situation is just utterly bizarre. It's like he’s trying to follow a script he doesn't have, and everyone else knows their lines perfectly.

And here's the genius of it all: Jian Suizhou's attempts at being a "scum gong" are so bad, they're actually endearing. He's basically a golden retriever puppy trying to act like a Rottweiler. It's adorable and hilarious all at once. I just want to pat his head and tell him everything will be okay.

I personally have a suspicion that Yan Wangui will be the key to solving the mystery. It's obvious he cares a lot about his brother, but I think he's holding some information about Jian Suizhou. I hope he's going to be a little more relaxed with Jian Suizhou. Because right now, it looks like Jian is one mistake away from being killed.
