Yes, they're going inside. This is where things get truly…interesting. Think "Honey, I Shrunk the Kids" meets "Alien." Only with more slime. So. Much. Slime. I’m pretty sure there's a deleted scene where one of our heroes slips and falls, landing face-first in a puddle of unknown goo. Thank the space gods it didn't make the final cut.

Inside Sluggy, it's like a bizarre theme park designed by a feverish biologist. Glowing fungi, pulsating organs the size of buses, and what I'm pretty sure was a sentient digestive tract. It’s all very…organic. And slightly terrifying. I wouldn't recommend the all-you-can-eat buffet.

Betrayal and Unexpected Allies

Of course, it wouldn't be a proper chapter without some good old-fashioned treachery. Turns out, one of our heroes – and I won't spoil who, but let's just say they have a suspicious amount of slime on their boots – is working for the bad guys. They were secretly instructed to sabotoge the mission! I almost choked on my latte when I read that part. The drama!

But wait! Just when things look their bleakest, a new player emerges. A tiny, sentient microbe (yes, inside Sluggy) offers to help. Apparently, Sluggy is a tyrannical overlord of its internal ecosystem, and this little microbe wants to dethrone it. It’s like “Antz,” but with more bioluminescence and a distinct lack of Woody Allen. Unexpected allies FTW!

This microbe, who identifies itself as "Glimmer," guides our heroes through the labyrinthine innards of Sluggy, providing vital information and, occasionally, chewing through inconveniently placed organs. Glimmer is, without a doubt, the MVP of this chapter. Someone get that microbe a tiny, tiny crown!

Cliffhanger Ending (Obviously)

So, do they get the Cosmic MacGuffin? Well, they get close. As in, they’re standing right next to it, the betrayed hero is about to make a grab for it and then hand it over to the enemy, and Sluggy is starting to feel… well, violated.

And then… BAM! Cliffhanger. Of course. Because the authors clearly enjoy torturing us.
