What I particularly enjoyed (and by "enjoyed" I mean, "chewed my nails down to the quick") was the subtle power plays happening between Isolde and the Prince's advisors. They’re clearly trying to manipulate her, and she's playing along… but you just *know* she's got something up her sleeve. Girl's a chess master, not a pawn. I love that!

It’s all about the facade, isn’t it? Everyone putting on a show, hiding their true intentions. Which, let’s be real, is basically high school all over again, just with more corsets and less questionable hair dye.

Isolde's starting to see glimpses of the man beneath the Prince, and that's making things even more complicated. Because, let's face it, falling for the guy you're supposed to marry for political reasons is never a good idea. Especially when that guy might be hiding a treasonous plot.

Burning Questions and Lingering Doubts

Chapter 14 left me with so many questions. Like, what exactly *is* the Prince hiding? And is Isolde going to choose duty or love? And, perhaps most importantly, will she finally tell that awful Lady Beatrice to shove it? (Please, Isolde, PLEASE!)

The ending was a total cliffhanger, naturally. Isolde stumbles upon a secret meeting, overhears something she shouldn’t have, and then… fade to black. Cue dramatic music!

Seriously, the author knows how to torture us.

Overall, Chapter 14 was a masterclass in suspense and subtle character development. It deepened the mystery surrounding the Prince, raised the stakes for Isolde, and left me desperately wanting more.
