They're always watching Elian, always asking pointed questions, always giving him that knowing look that says, "I know your secret, and I'm not telling anyone... yet." They are probably the key to something, don't you think?

So, yeah, chapter one sets the stage pretty well. We've got a reluctant hero, a mysterious academy, a looming threat, and a whole lot of unanswered questions. What's not to love? Now if you will excuse me, i need to read the next chapter.
