Now, picture him…staring. Like, constantly. At me. Yep, me. I know, I know. You're probably thinking, "But why you?" And honestly? That's the million-dollar question I'm still trying to figure out!

The obsession? Undeniable. The lingering glances? Creepy. The vaguely threatening (but also kind of flattering?) declarations of…well, something? Off the charts. Is it love? Is it control? Is it just plain boredom? Your guess is as good as mine. But I'm leaning towards a toxic cocktail of all three. Yikes.

The Signs Were There (In Hindsight, Of Course)

Of course, looking back, there were signs. Subtle little things at first. Like, noticing he was always in the same coffee shop I frequented. Or suddenly finding my favorite flowers on my doorstep (anonymously, naturally). Or maybe it was the time he “happened” to save me from that runaway trolley (which, let’s be real, seemed a little too conveniently timed). Did I ignore them? Maybe. Was I too busy with my own ridiculously normal life to notice the impending doom of a supervillain fixation? Absolutely.

But the line was crossed when he… well, let's just say he started orchestrating elaborate "encounters." Think dramatic speeches in the rain, conveniently being around during a mugging (again, suspicious timing!), and generally just popping up wherever I happened to be. It was less "charming romantic comedy" and more "high-stakes thriller with a potentially explosive ending." And not the good kind of explosive.

And the gifts! Oh, the gifts! Not chocolates and flowers, people. We're talking rare artifacts, priceless jewels, and once, a literal island. (I politely declined the island. Where would I even put it?)

What's a Girl to Do?

So, here I am. Trapped in a storyline that's equal parts terrifying and bizarrely intriguing. Do I run? Do I reason with him? Do I invest in some serious self-defense classes? Honestly, I'm taking suggestions. Preferably ones that don't involve becoming his evil queen. That's a hard pass.

My friends are, shall we say, concerned. Some are secretly thrilled (they love the drama, the little vultures). Others are stockpiling emergency supplies and drawing up escape plans. My mom keeps calling, reminding me to wear comfortable shoes in case I need to make a quick getaway. It's...a lot.

The worst part? He's actually…kind of charming. I know, I know, I shouldn't be saying that. He's a villain! He probably kicks puppies for fun! But he's also wickedly intelligent, surprisingly witty, and has this whole brooding, misunderstood vibe that's weirdly…appealing. Ugh, I hate myself a little bit for admitting that.
