Trash Of The Counts Family Chapter 1

Okay, okay, settle in, grab your virtual coffee (mine's a latte, extra foam, you know how I do). We need to talk about Trash of the Count's Family, Chapter 1. And trust me, it's a wild ride from the get-go. Ever wished you could just... wake up in another world? With magic? And maybe a slightly less terrible life?
Well, that's basically what happens to our protagonist. Except, like, dial up the terrible life to eleven. He wakes up as Kim Rok Soo... no, wait, that's his old name. Now he's Cale Henituse. Yes, Henituse. Try saying that five times fast. I dare you. (Don't actually. You'll probably break your tongue).
And Cale? He's not exactly living the high life. He's the titular "trash" of the Count's family. Think spoiled brat meets slightly incompetent villain. Perfect for a protagonist, right?
Must Read
The Book Within a Book… Within an Anime? Maybe?
Here's the catch (because there's ALWAYS a catch). Cale used to be Kim Rok Soo, a diligent office worker. But before that, he read a novel. A novel called "The Birth of a Hero." Which, surprise surprise, is the world he's now stuck in. So, it's like… inception for web novels. Or, you know, maybe he binge-watched too much anime and it finally got to him. We've all been there, right?
This novel is important because Cale knows… basically everything that’s going to happen. Like, plot points, character arcs, the whole shebang. Except, of course, the plot doesn’t go according to the book. Because Cale’s a meddler! Can’t just sit still and watch the “hero” shine, can he?

And the hero of this novel? Choi Han. Now, Choi Han is your textbook tragic hero. Lost his village, powerful swordsman, destined to save the world... you know, the usual hero stuff. Cale, on the other hand? He just wants to chill. Live a long, comfortable, trashy life. But can he? Of course not! What fun would that be?
The Slacker's Dilemma
The core of chapter 1 (and much of the early story) revolves around Cale trying to avoid the doom that he knows is coming. He remembers the starting incident of the novel – the destruction of a village and Choi Han’s rage. So, what does he do? He tries to prevent it, naturally. Not out of the goodness of his heart, mind you! He just doesn’t want to deal with the aftermath!

And honestly, I can relate. Who wants to clean up someone else's mess? Especially when that mess involves dragons and ancient powers and other things that are way above your pay grade (or in this case, your "trash" ranking)?
He ends up… well, let’s just say he gets himself involved. In a way that is both hilariously inept and somehow surprisingly effective. He is, after all, supposed to be a layabout trash. So what's the best way to look like you tried while still making it look like you failed? That's Cale's specialty!

So, the first chapter sets the stage: Cale's new identity, his knowledge of the novel, and his burning desire to do absolutely nothing of importance. Will he succeed? Probably not. But watching him fail upwards is half the fun, right? Plus, it's genuinely hilarious to see his attempts to be lazy completely backfire in the most spectacular ways.
Overall, Chapter 1 is a solid introduction to a fantastically entertaining story. The humor is sharp, the characters are intriguing (even the "trashy" ones!), and the plot, while seemingly simple, has a lot of potential. It's a great setup for what's to come. And trust me, you'll want to stick around for the ride. It gets wild.
So, what did YOU think? Did Cale's entrance into this new world make you chuckle? Or are you already shipping him with Choi Han? (Don't worry, I won't judge… much). Let me know!
