Okay, let's talk about 86. Specifically, Season 2. And even MORE specifically, the elusive episode 11.
Is anyone else starting to feel like we're waiting for Halley's Comet? Except, you know, instead of a celestial event, it's just... anime.
The Great 86 Episode 11 Wait
Remember the initial hype? The gripping storyline? The gorgeous animation? Yeah, those were the days. Now, it’s mostly just refreshing streaming services every hour.
I mean, come on! We were promised a thrilling conclusion. We deserved to see Lena kick some serious butt.
Is it just me, or...?
Here's my unpopular opinion: The delays, while understandable (I get it, animation is HARD), kind of sucked some of the momentum out of the season. Don't @ me!
It’s like baking a cake, getting distracted, and then remembering to pull it out of the oven three weeks later. Still cake? Technically. But maybe a little… stale?
I still love 86, don't get me wrong. Just feeling a bit abandoned in the No Man's Land of unfinished anime seasons.
Where's Episode 11? (Seriously!)
The internet is a vast wasteland of speculation. Release date theories abound. Each one more convoluted than the last.
Is it coming next week? Next month? Next year? Are we going to have flying cars before we see Shin and Lena reunite properly? The suspense is killing me!
The Conspiracy Theories are Real
Maybe the animators are being held hostage by sentient Roaches. Maybe Aniplex is secretly funded by calendar companies just to make you buy one every year that episode 11 does not air. Okay, probably not. But a girl can dream up conspiracy theories while waiting!
Perhaps it's all part of a master plan. A calculated move to keep us on the edge of our seats. If so, congratulations, you’ve succeeded. I’m practically glued to the floor.
My Humble Plea
Dear 86 production team: Please, for the love of all that is holy, release episode 11! I'm not asking for much. Just a little closure. A little bit of robot-fighting action. A little bit of hope for the future of the Spearhead Squadron.
I promise to binge-watch the entire series again. I'll even buy the Blu-ray. Just give us episode 11!
And while you're at it, maybe throw in a sneak peek for Season 3? Just kidding... unless?

Okay, one last time: Delays happen. I understand that. But maybe, just maybe, communication is key. A little tweet, a short update, anything to let us know we're not forgotten. Is that too much to ask?
