Okay, maybe the plot is a little convoluted. There are angels and saints and magic and science all swirling around. But it's A Certain Magical Index! Convoluted is practically its middle name.

I also feel like the action sequences are top-notch. Seeing Touma's Imagine Breaker in action against those high-tech drones? Spectacular! And the animation? Seriously, the visuals in this movie are stunning.

And let's talk about the villain for a second. He is just doing his best, in a super twisted way. Plus, he's motivated by love, which is way more interesting than your average "destroy the world" baddie.

I'll admit, the ending gets a little... strange. Time travel shenanigans and alternate timelines. But honestly, that's par for the course with this franchise. Embrace the weirdness, I say!

The Unsung Hero of the Index Universe?

I know, I know. I'm probably in the minority here. But I genuinely believe The Miracle of Endymion is an underrated gem in the A Certain Magical Index universe. It's got heart, it's got action, and it's got space elevators!

It gives us a break from the constant power scaling and world-threatening events of the main series. It gives us a chance to breathe and appreciate the characters in a different light. Kamijou Touma's never gives up attitude is also a selling point.

So, the next time you're looking for something to watch, give Endymion a chance. You might be surprised. You might even find yourself agreeing with me (gasp!).
