Okay, let's talk about A Cinderella Story: If The Shoe Fits. Yes, the 2016 one. I'm going to say something controversial.

It's...actually pretty good? I know, I know. Hear me out!

First of all, Sofia Carson. Come on! She's adorable. And she can sing! Let's be real, that's half the battle won right there.

Her version of "A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes" is great. Way better than I expected.

The stepmother and stepsisters are gloriously awful. Like, cartoonishly evil. But in a fun way!

They're more slapstick than scary. Perfect for a lighthearted movie.

And the stepsisters aren't just mean, they are also funny! Some of the jokes actually land. Which is rare for these movies.

The prince, or rather, Prince Charming is actually a pop star. This is important.

Not some stuffy royal. He's got a stage name and a whole career. Plus, he's from Zamibia, adding a cool twist!

This is the 21st century, princes need a side hustle. He wants to make music!

The songs are catchy! I'm not ashamed to admit it. Some of them are actual bops.

They are not Disney level, but they fit the tone of the movie perfectly. Perfect for a sing-along.

Don't pretend you haven't hummed "Rough Side" in the shower.

Okay, here it is: This movie is more entertaining than some of the earlier A Cinderella Story installments. There, I said it.

Hilary Duff is a queen, but this one is just... pure, silly fun.

Some people might call it a guilty pleasure. I call it a pleasant surprise.

It doesn't take itself too seriously. It knows it's cheesy. And it embraces it!

It's got that so bad it's good quality. But, in my opinion, it's just good.

Plus, the dance numbers are surprisingly well-choreographed! Who knew?

Maybe I'm biased. Maybe I just have low standards. But I genuinely enjoy this movie.
