Okay, let's talk Adventure Time: Come Along With Me soundtrack. You know, the finale soundtrack? The one everyone cries about?

Is it really that amazing?

Look, I love Adventure Time. I really do. Finn, Jake, Princess Bubblegum – the whole gang! They're the best!

But, and this might be an unpopular opinion... Is the soundtrack really the pinnacle of musical achievement people make it out to be? Like, stop-the-presses, rewrite-history amazing?

Don't get me wrong...

There are some bangers, I admit. "Time Adventure" is undeniably beautiful. That much is true!

Rebecca Sugar's songwriting is chef's kiss. "Come Along With Me" the title track is pretty epic, no arguments here.

But sometimes I feel like some songs just... exist. They are kinda meh. You know?

The Hype Train is Real

Maybe it's the context. The end of the show, all the feels. That's fair! Endings are always emotional.

Adventure Time was a huge part of a lot of people's lives. So the soundtrack probably hit harder because of that.

But objectively? Some of the tracks feel more like background music than stand-alone masterpieces. I said it!.

But maybe, just maybe, it benefits from being attached to such a beloved show's ending. Maybe.

Don't hate me for saying it! Now if you excuse me I am going to rewatch Adventure Time.
