Okay, Let's Talk "American Horror Stories: Necro" Cast
So, "Necro" happened, right? Season 2, Episode 2 of American Horror Stories served us up a whole plate of… well, let's just say "interesting" choices.
And the cast? Oh honey, where do we even start?
Dominic Burgess as Dr. Modell: Underrated King?
First, let's give it up for Dominic Burgess. I feel like he consistently elevates any role he's in. He took Dr. Modell from zero to creepy real fast.
Unpopular opinion: he was actually the best part of the episode. He fully commited and he sold it. Who agrees?
Christoph Sanders as Chad: The "Nice Guy" Trope
Then we have Christoph Sanders playing Chad. Another familiar face of comedy turned to the dark side. Okay, I’m not buying it.
Sorry, not sorry. The "nice guy turned necrophiliac" trope? It’s been done. Too many times. Next!
Britt Lower as Liv Whitley: Girl, Run!
Britt Lower as Liv Whitley, our protagonist who makes questionable dating choices. Bless her heart.
She delivered her lines and role as intended. But I couldn’t help screaming at my TV for her to just RUN the entire time. Seriously, girl, trust your instincts!
The Rest of the Supporting Cast: Blink and You Miss 'Em
Honestly, the rest of the cast felt a little… there. Like they were just background characters.
No disrespect, but I barely registered them. Maybe that's the point? Make them forgettable so the creepiness takes center stage?
Overall Impression: A Mixed Bag of Horrors
The acting performances as a whole were acceptable. The cast did what they were told. But I felt most of the actors were either underutilized, or miscast.
It felt like they took a bunch of talented actors, threw them into a blender with a questionable script, and hoped for the best. The result was mixed.
My Unpopular Opinion: Needed More Horror, Less Shock Value
Look, I'm not against a little bit of disturbing content. But "Necro" felt like it was trying too hard to be shocking.
American Horror Story is at its best when it’s genuinely scary, atmospheric, and thought-provoking. Not just…gross.
Final Thoughts: Worth a Watch? Maybe…
So, should you watch "Necro?" If you're a die-hard American Horror Stories fan, sure.
But be prepared for a bumpy ride. And maybe keep a pillow handy to hide behind. You know, just in case.
What did you think of the cast of “Necro?" Let me know in the comments! Did you love them? Hate them? Were you as confused as I was? Spill the tea!
Don't forget to scream responsibly! And maybe don't watch this episode right before you go to bed. Just a suggestion. 😉
