Okay, so you’re hooked on How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom. You love the strategic thinking, the kingdom-building, and the harem, right? (Don't deny it!)
More Brainy (and Maybe a Little Bishie) Isekai?
Let's be honest. Sometimes you just want a main character who's actually, y'know, competent. Not just wielding a ridiculously overpowered sword!
Ascendance of a Bookworm: Literacy Saves the World!
Okay, hear me out. No, it's not about a guy. But Main, a book-loving girl, gets reincarnated in a world where books are super rare. She's basically trying to invent the printing press! It's surprisingly gripping.
I know, I know, where's the romance? Well, it's slow-burn. Think of it as building relationships one book at a time. Don't underestimate the power of paper!
Log Horizon: MMORPG Gone Wrong (Right?)
Ever played an MMO and thought, "What if this was REAL?" Well, *Log Horizon* explores that very question. Thousands of players get trapped inside their favorite game.
Shiroe, the MC, is a master strategist, not a super strong warrior. He uses his brain to build a functional society. He is also like the Realist Hero but in a game.
That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: Rimuru's Nation-Building Adventure
Okay, so a slime building a kingdom? Sounds weird, right? But Rimuru Tempest is surprisingly charismatic and smart.
He uses his unique abilities to create a thriving nation. The difference here is the approach, Rimuru is more open for cooperation. And there's a lot of monster friends! Who doesn't love monster friends?
Dr. Stone: Science is Magic!
Okay, this one's a bit different. No reincarnation here. Everyone on Earth gets turned to stone. Thousands of years later, Senku wakes up.
He aims to rebuild civilization using SCIENCE. Yes, folks, we're talking reviving from zero! It's incredibly optimistic and genuinely funny. "Ten Billion Percent!"
Maoyuu Maou Yuusha: Economics vs. Demons
This one is a bit of an older anime, but trust me. It's got that "smart MC trying to fix the world" vibe.
A Hero teams up with the Demon Queen. But not to fight! They want to improve society from within. Expect economic theories and unexpected alliances. It's the perfect anime to watch if you are an unconventional hero kind of fan.
Unpopular Opinion Alert!
Here comes my very own unpopular opinion: I might actually enjoy these shows MORE than Realist Hero sometimes. Don't get me wrong, I love Souma! But the others offer unique twists and perspectives.
So, there you have it. A few anime to scratch that "smart protagonist saving the world" itch. Go forth and binge-watch! Let me know if you agree… or completely disagree with my suggestions.
Happy watching, fellow isekai fans!
