Aot Season 3 Part 2 Episode 6

Okay, let's talk about Attack on Titan, specifically Season 3 Part 2 Episode 6. This episode is widely considered one of the best. But I have some…thoughts.

Don't get me wrong. It's good. Really good. But is it as good as everyone says? Maybe not! Prepare for some potentially unpopular opinions.

The "Hero" Speech - Overrated?

Everyone raves about Erwin's speech. The one where he convinces the soldiers to charge to their deaths. "Dedicate your hearts!" and all that jazz.

But… I find it a bit manipulative. Like, dude, you're basically guilt-tripping them into suicide! I feel like he is using them.

Sure, it's epic. It's inspiring. But deep down, it makes me a little uncomfortable. Maybe that's the point. Maybe I'm just a terrible person.

Zeke's Entrance: Pretty Cool, I Guess

Zeke shows up! Finally, a worthy opponent (for Levi, at least). He's throwing rocks. Big rocks.

It's a visually stunning moment. Giant ape-man throwing boulders? Yes, please! But did anyone else think the animation looked a little off during some of those rock-throwing scenes? Just me?

Don’t come at me! I appreciate the effort. Animating rocks is probably super hard. I just noticed it.

Levi vs. The Beast Titan... Round One!

The highlight of the episode, obviously, is Levi wrecking Zeke. We all knew it was coming. And it was glorious.

His movements are so fluid and graceful. He’s like a ninja hummingbird of death! It’s practically art.

But. And this is a big but. Doesn't it feel a little one-sided? Zeke barely puts up a fight. He looks like he is a noob. Is Zeke really that bad?

I know, I know, Levi is humanity's strongest soldier. But come on! A little more resistance would've been nice. Give him a better fight.

Armin's Contribution

Armin is mostly just… there in this episode. He’s strategic. He has plans. We get it.

He feels like an exposition machine. He's telling us what’s happening. He's explaining the plan. It’s important, sure, but not exactly thrilling.

Sorry, Armin! I still love you. You're very smart! You just didn't get the best material this episode.

Overall: Still Great, But...

Look, I'm not saying it's a bad episode. Far from it! Attack on Titan Season 3 Part 2 is amazing. It has great stories, animation and character development.

I'm just saying that maybe, just maybe, it's a tad overrated. A little hyped up. Perhaps the expectations were too high.

I still enjoyed it! I still cried a little (okay, a lot) when Erwin's squad charged. I just think we need to acknowledge that even masterpieces have flaws.

So, am I going to get canceled for this? Probably. But someone had to say it! Right?

Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go hide from the Attack on Titan fandom.
