Okay, let's talk Attack on Titan. Specifically, Season 4. How many episodes are there?
It’s a simple question, right? Except when it comes to anime, things are never that straightforward.
The Great Episode Divide
Season 4 of Attack on Titan… it's a beast. A multi-part, titan-sized beast!
Officially, it's considered one season, but it's split. Like, a Titan split in two. Get it? Heh.
Part 1: The Beginning of the End
Part 1 gave us 16 episodes. Sixteen! That's a whole lotta Eren brooding and strategizing.
It was a wild ride. So much happened so fast, it felt like an anime marathon!
Part 2: Even More Endings!
Then came Part 2. This also had 12 episodes. We saw even more action, plot twists, and emotional breakdowns.
Seriously, someone get these characters a therapist. They desperately need one!
Part 3 (aka "Final Season The Final Chapters"): Just When You Thought It Was Over...
And then... Part 3. Or as some call it: "Attack on Titan: The Final Season: The Final Chapters." Yep, they really leaned into the "final" part.
This part was split into two special episodes. Each one was basically a movie, clocking in at around an hour each. So, technically two episodes?
So, What's the Magic Number?
If you add it all up, Season 4 of Attack on Titan has a grand total of... 30 episodes (16+12+2). Wow.
That's a lot of Titan action. But, is that really the end?
My Unpopular Opinion: It's Too Long (But I Still Watched Every Minute)
Here's where I might get some hate. I think Attack on Titan Season 4, while epic, was stretched out a bit too much.
Hear me out! The pacing felt uneven at times. Did we really need *that* many reaction shots of characters staring into the distance?
I know, I know. The story is complex. The animation is amazing. But still...
Don't get me wrong, I love Attack on Titan. I just feel like it could have been tighter. Maybe even two parts would have sufficed.
"But the lore! The details! The character development!" - Probably you, disagreeing with me.
I get it! I appreciate all that stuff too. But sometimes, less is more. And the ending, while impactful, felt like it took FOREVER to get there.
Is anyone else secretly hoping for a reboot in like, ten years? A condensed, super-efficient version of the whole story? Just me?
The Verdict: Watch It Anyway!
Despite my minor gripes, I still recommend watching Attack on Titan Season 4. All 30 (or however many you think there are) episodes.
It's a powerful story with unforgettable characters. Just be prepared for a commitment!
And maybe keep a box of tissues handy. You'll probably need them. And maybe some coffee, to stay awake during those longer episodes. Just saying!
