Attack on Titan Season 4: How Many Episodes?! (And My Unpopular Opinion)
Okay, let's be real. We all went into Attack on Titan season 4 a little…nervous. Would it live up to the hype? Would Eren finally smile? (Spoiler: probably not).
But one question plagued us all: How many episodes are we talking here?! I mean, seriously, this show loves to keep us on our toes.
Season 4 was split into two parts. It felt like forever! Did they do this on purpose? I'm convinced they did. For the drama!
The Episode Count Lowdown (Without Making Your Head Spin)
Part 1 had 16 episodes. Part 2? A glorious 12. So, a grand total of 28 episodes...almost. Not so fast!
We had a **Part 3**. And let me tell you, that was the kicker.
Part 3 was delivered as two extended episodes. It's basically like a mini-movie. The confusion is real, people.
So, Is It 28 or 30? The Great Debate!
Technically, you could argue it's 28 "official" episodes with two special long ones thrown in. Or 30 total chunks of animated goodness.
Whatever you call it, it was a LOT of Titan action to process. I needed a therapy session after the ending, I'm not gonna lie.
It really got to me. My friends tell me I was too invested in the show but hey I am not ashamed!
My Unpopular Opinion (Brace Yourselves)
Here's where things get spicy. Ready for my unpopular Attack on Titan opinion?
I think they dragged it out a little. Just a tad.
Look, I loved the ending. I appreciated the complexities. But did we REALLY need three parts to season 4? Did they really need to make Levi suffer MORE?
I feel like we could have condensed some storylines. Maybe cut out a few of those slow, introspective moments.
I know, I know, blasphemy! But hear me out. Shorter seasons mean tighter pacing.
Think of it: less filler, more Titan smashing. We all love Titan smashing!
And look, I love Armin as much as the next person. But how many pep talks does one character need to give?!
Okay, okay, I'm exaggerating. A little. But you get my point. Less talking, more action!
In Conclusion: It Was a Wild Ride (Even If It Was a Long One)
Despite my (possibly controversial) opinion, I still loved Attack on Titan season 4. Every tear-jerking, jaw-dropping moment of it.
The animation was stunning. The story, while sometimes convoluted, was ultimately powerful. And the characters? Well, they'll stay with me for a long time.
So, however many episodes you think there are, one thing's for sure: it was an experience. A long, emotional, Titan-filled experience. And I wouldn't trade it for the world. Even if Hange died way too soon.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go rewatch the first season. Back when things were simple. Back when we only worried about walls and not, you know, global conflict and philosophical debates about freedom. Ah, simpler times.
