Okay, let's talk Attack on Titan. Specifically, Season 4 Part 2. Crunchyroll was practically vibrating with anticipation, wasn't it?
The Final Final Season (Seriously?)
I swear, they called it "final" more times than I change my socks. And I'm pretty sure I own more socks than there are Titans. Is anyone else confused?
It felt like we were watching the last episode for about six episodes. My emotional whiplash could probably power a small city.
Eren Yeager: From Hero to...What Exactly?
Remember when Eren was, like, the symbol of hope? Charging headfirst into danger to protect humanity? Good times.
Now? He's stomping around, leading the Rumbling, and giving everyone existential crises. I miss baby Eren. Anyone else? Don't judge me.
I think he was trying to make a point. But that point got lost somewhere between the colossal titans and my confusion. Honestly.
The Rumbling: A Walking, Talking Metaphor
Speaking of the Rumbling... Giant walls of Titans just casually strolling across the earth. Talk about a bad day for real estate.
It was a spectacle, sure. Visually stunning. Morally…a little tricky, shall we say?
Is this what peak anime looks like? Mass genocide with stunning animation? Asking for a friend.
Mikasa Ackerman: The Unsung (and Slightly Obsessed) Hero
Then there's Mikasa. Loyal to a fault. Scarf enthusiast. Always there to remind Eren to maybe, just maybe, think about the consequences.
She's basically Eren's conscience in human form. A very, very strong human form. And a very, very quiet one.
Sometimes I wonder if she ever just wanted a nice cup of tea and a quiet afternoon. But, Titans. So, you know…never.
The "Unpopular" Opinion Section (Brace Yourselves)
Okay, here comes the spicy take. Don't hate me. But…was the ending…satisfying?
I get what they were going for. Bittersweet. Complex. But I was left feeling more bitter than sweet. Maybe a little confused, to be honest.
It’s okay to admit it. Attack on Titan's ending was divisive. It's okay to feel some type of way about it.
Did anyone else feel like they needed a flowchart to keep track of everyone's motivations? Alliances were changing faster than I change my mind about what to have for dinner. Which is pretty fast.
Crunchyroll's Contribution: Lag and Infinite Loading Screens
Let's be real. Crunchyroll had its work cut out for them. Millions of people all trying to watch the same thing at the same time. It was bound to happen.
But the lag. The infinite loading screens. The sheer agony of waiting to see what happened next, only to be greeted by a spinning wheel of despair. It was a journey.
I'm pretty sure I aged five years waiting for some episodes to load. But hey, at least I got to see those opening credits…a lot.
Final Thoughts: Titan-Sized Feelings
Attack on Titan Season 4 Part 2 was a rollercoaster. A confusing, emotionally draining, visually stunning rollercoaster.
It made us think. It made us cry. It made us question the very nature of humanity. And it kept us glued to our screens, despite the lag.
So, thank you, Attack on Titan. Even if I'm still not entirely sure what happened. At least it was entertaining. Sort of. Maybe. I need a nap.
