Okay, let's be real. We all watched Attack on Titan Season 4 Part 2. And most of us probably enjoyed it. But can we talk about the pacing?
Was It Just Me...?
Did anyone else feel like it took...a little long? I mean, epic battles and emotional breakdowns galore. But sometimes, I felt like I was waiting for something to *really* happen.
Don't get me wrong, I love Eren Yeager as much as the next person. His brooding intensity? Chef's kiss. But even *he* seemed to be taking his sweet time with his grand plan.
The Rumble Was...Rumbling...Slowly
Seriously, the Rumbling. It's supposed to be this earth-shattering, world-ending event. Yet, sometimes it felt like it was rumbling at the speed of a leisurely Sunday stroll.
I'm not saying I wanted instant world destruction. But maybe a little less drawn-out suspense? Just a thought.
And the conversations! So many conversations! Important? Absolutely. But after a while, my brain started to glaze over. I needed explosions, people!
Unpopular Opinion Alert!
Here's where I might lose some of you. I think Season 4 Part 2 could have been, dare I say it...shorter.
Hear me out! Cutting out a few of the slower moments wouldn't have diminished the impact. It might have even amplified it! Think of it like a tightly packed, explosive burrito. No unnecessary fluff, just pure, delicious destruction.
Imagine a more streamlined season. More action, less lingering stares into the abyss. Okay, maybe still some lingering stares. They're kind of Eren's thing.
The Value of Brevity
Sometimes, less is more. A quicker pace might have kept the tension cranked up to eleven the entire time. We would be constantly on the edge of our seats!
And honestly, I wouldn't have minded a little less Floch. I know he's a crucial character, but his brand of loyalty was a tad… grating. A few less Floch scenes wouldn't have hurt, right?
Okay, okay, I'm prepared for the backlash. I know Attack on Titan is a masterpiece. And I mostly loved the ending.
But...
But it's okay to have minor criticisms, right? It's okay to think something could have been *slightly* better.
Maybe I just have a short attention span. Maybe I'm too used to binge-watching things at 1.5x speed. The truth is out there.
So, what do you think? Am I completely off my rocker? Or did anyone else feel like Season 4 Part 2 could have been a little more… concise?
Let me know in the comments! (And please be gentle. I'm sensitive.)
Just remember, even with its pacing quirks, Attack on Titan is still an incredible show. And I'll probably rewatch it anyway. Multiple times.
Just maybe with a fast forward button in hand.
