And that rapid power creep? It kind of diminishes the struggles of other characters. They're working hard for every level, while Bell just gets swole on determination and pretty girls.

It almost feels like a cheat code was activated in his character build. Just saying.

Is He Really That Relatable?

The initial appeal of Bell was his relatability. He was a newbie, awkward and trying his best.

But after a few seasons, is he still relatable? He’s fighting monsters that would obliterate most seasoned adventurers.

Suddenly, he's less like the guy you cheer for and more like a superhero with a bunny motif.

The Supporting Cast Steals the Show

Let's be honest, some of the best parts of DanMachi aren't about Bell. Ais Wallenstein's stoicism and hidden vulnerability? Gold.

Ryu Lion's tragic past and dedication? Amazing. Even side characters like Liliruca Arde have compelling arcs!

Maybe the spotlight should shine on them a bit more, right?

A Matter of Taste (and Expectations)

Look, I'm not saying Bell is a bad character. He's a perfectly fine protagonist for a fantasy adventure.

But maybe, just maybe, he benefits a little too much from plot armor and harem power-ups. He is still learning and improving in his own way.

Perhaps my expectations were different. Maybe I was hoping for a more grounded, less "chosen one" type of hero.

Bell Cranell: lovable? Absolutely. Overrated? Potentially.
