Okay, let's talk Below Deck Mediterranean Season 5, Episode 22. It's the season finale! Everyone's scrambling to make it through one last charter.
The Guests, Bless Their Hearts
These guests. I just... I don't get them sometimes. They seem nice enough, but their demands are a little out there, right?
Like, expecting a Michelin-star meal every five seconds? Come on, guys! Give Chef Tom a break!
And the constant need for themed parties? I'd be exhausted just thinking about it!
Sandy vs. Everyone (Again)
Okay, here's my unpopular opinion. I think Captain Sandy gets a *little* too much hate. Yes, she can be intense.
But she's also running a multi-million dollar operation. You kinda need to be a bit of a hard-ass, don't you think?
Her management style isn't for everyone, sure. But she definitely knows her stuff. She wants things done her way, you can't fault her for it.
Pete's Downfall (Finally?)
Remember Pete Hunziker? Oh boy. What a mess. He was fired earlier, so he isn't in this episode.
But the lingering shadow of his actions definitely hung over the season. I can't say I missed him.
Good riddance? Maybe that's harsh. But his attitude was definitely not yacht-worthy. Yikes.
Malia & Tom: Still Going Strong?
Malia White and Chef Tom. They had their ups and downs, didn't they?
The long-distance thing is tough. Especially when you're working on opposite sides of the world.
I honestly didn't see them lasting. But they were still together at the reunion! Color me surprised.
The Crew's Goodbyes (and the Drama Lingers)
The goodbyes were bittersweet, as always. Everyone's exhausted, but also a little sad to leave.
Especially because the season was fraught with so much... chaos. The COVID-19 pandemic had everyone on edge.
Seeing them all hug and say their farewells felt like a collective sigh of relief. They deserved a vacation!
The Reunion Speculation
The reunion episode. That's where the real tea gets spilled. Right?
I always wonder what *really* goes on behind the scenes. The cameras only capture so much.
Who hooked up with who? Who's still mad at who? The questions keep me up at night!
Overall Thoughts
Season 5 was a wild ride, that's for sure. From firings to boatmances, there was never a dull moment.
I think the cast had some really strong personalities. And some... well, not-so-strong ones.
Would I watch it again? Absolutely. It's the perfect guilty pleasure. A little bit of luxury, a little bit of drama, and a whole lot of questionable decisions.
It keeps me entertained. No shame in that! What did you think? Sound off in the comments below!
Unpopular Opinion: I lowkey miss Hannah Ferrier. She brought the drama!
