Why I'm Obsessed (Maybe)
Firstly, it records. Like, properly records. You can pause live TV, rewind like a boss, and set recordings for future episodes.
It's got a decent amount of storage too. Enough to hoard episodes of your favourite guilty-pleasure reality shows. We all have them, don’t lie.
Secondly, it’s got apps. Netflix? Check. Prime Video? Check. All those streaming services you’re already paying for? Double check!
It’s all neatly integrated, so you don’t need to juggle remotes like a circus performer. My living room thanks me every day.
But It's Not Perfect... (Nobody Is!)
Look, it’s not perfect. The interface can be a little... enthusiastic at times. It’s trying to be helpful, bless its heart.
And sometimes it takes a moment or two to load up. But hey, Rome wasn’t built in a day, right?
Plus, you need a satellite dish. If you had Sky Q, you probably already have one. If not, it's a small hurdle for freedom!
Other Contenders (That Didn't Quite Make The Cut)
I considered other boxes, of course. There's the Manhattan T3-R, a solid choice with a simpler interface.
And the older Humax HDR-1100S is still a decent option if you’re on a tighter budget. But for me, the Aura just edges them out.
