And then there were, well, others. The judging felt a little...off sometimes, didn't it? Like they were watching a different show entirely.

BBC iPlayer brought a whole new audience. suddenly, everyone had opinions! It's amazing, but also slightly terrifying.

Did everyone suddenly learn all the Canadian slang? Did they all start craving Nanaimo bars? I'm not convinced.

Suddenly, the whole world knew what a "hoser" was. Bless BBC iPlayer for broadening horizons.

Unpopular Opinions: Prepare Yourselves

Brace yourselves, because I'm about to drop some truth bombs. My opinions may not be popular, but they are mine. Take them or leave them, eh?

Okay, here goes: I think some of the challenges were...a bit unfair. Some queens were clearly set up to fail.

And the judging critiques? Sometimes they felt personal. Constructive criticism is one thing, but shade is another. Let's be real!

I’ll even say this out loud, Pythia deserved more recognition! Some of her runways were absolutely breathtaking.

The Drama, The Shade, The Canadian-ness

The drama was definitely there. Every season has its moments, right? The workroom antics were sometimes a bit...much.

But that's what we watch for, isn't it? The awkward moments, the fake apologies, the passive-aggressive comments. It's all part of the show!

And the Canadian-ness! The constant references to Tim Hortons. The excessive use of "eh?". It was glorious.

Was it a Good Season? (The Verdict)

So, was Canada's Drag Race Season 2 a good season? In short, it was a ride. A bumpy, sometimes confusing ride.

It definitely had its flaws. The judging felt inconsistent, the challenges were occasionally unfair, and the drama was sometimes over the top.

But it also had its moments of brilliance. The queens were all talented in their own way. And Icesis Couture? A true legend.

Ultimately, it was entertaining. And isn't that what really matters? We all tune in to be entertained. And on that front, Season 2 delivered.

Even if we disagree on the judging or the challenges, we can all agree on one thing: Canadian drag is amazing. The queens all deserve our love and support.

And I am glad BBC iPlayer gave it the platform to be seen by a wider audience. Who knows? Maybe I can convert some of the viewers to be a Canadian drag fan.
