Cast Of Season 2 Only Murders In The Building

Okay, let's talk Only Murders in the Building Season 2. We all loved it, right? But let's be honest, some things were... better than others. And maybe, just maybe, some characters were a little overhyped.

The OG Trio: Still Gold

No complaints here! Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez? Perfection. Their chemistry is undeniable. They carried the season, as usual.

Mabel's style? Obsessed. Oliver's theatricality? Always hilarious. Charles's awkwardness? Endearing.

But What About the Newbies?

This is where things get interesting. Season 2 brought in some fresh faces. Some were great. Others? Well...

Amy Schumer playing Amy Schumer? Kind of funny. Kind of... expected. Not exactly groundbreaking, but entertaining enough.

Cara Delevingne as Alice Banks was... fine. She looked amazing, of course. But did anyone else feel like Alice was a bit underdeveloped?

It felt like we were told she was important more than we actually saw it. Maybe it's just me. She had amazing outfits though.

Poppy White/Becky Butler: Underrated Queen?

Now, here's my possibly controversial take: Adina Verson as Poppy was fantastic! Seriously, she completely sold the timid assistant turned mastermind. The voice change alone was award-worthy.

I honestly think she stole the show in the finale. Give her all the awards! Okay, maybe not all of them.

I am not going to lie. The last scene was so good. I did not see that twist coming!

Bunny Folger: Gone But Not Forgotten

Even though she was, you know, murdered, Jayne Houdyshell as Bunny left a HUGE impression. Her grumpy demeanor and surprising vulnerability? Masterful.

Her interactions with Charles were comedy gold. We definitely felt her absence throughout the season. She was a tough broad with a soft side.

Cinda Canning: The Villain We Love to Hate

Tina Fey is always amazing. Cinda Canning is the perfect parody of true crime podcasting. Her dry wit and ruthless ambition? Chef's kiss!

She's the kind of villain you secretly root for (a little). Okay, maybe not root for. But admire her dedication to the craft!

Her assistant, Poppy, was her downfall! Irony, right?

Unpopular Opinion Alert!

Okay, brace yourselves. I think Shirley MacLaine as Rose Cooper was a little... underwhelming. Hear me out! A legendary actress, yes. But did her character add much to the overall plot?

Her presence felt a bit forced. Like they needed a big name to draw attention. Maybe I'm just missing something? But she didn't quite reach the heights of the others.

And the whole romance thing with Charles? Seemed a bit... random. Did anyone else feel that way?

Final Thoughts

Season 2 was great. No doubt. But some characters shined brighter than others. And maybe, just maybe, some were a little overrated. What do you think?
