Okay, Let's Talk About Cell Max
So, the new Dragon Ball movie dropped, right? Super Hero! Awesome animation, fun story. But let's be honest, everyone's talking about Cell Max.
And maybe I'm alone on this, but... I kinda liked him?
Hear Me Out!
I know, I know. He's basically Cell 2.0. Bigger, angrier, and way less... chatty. But that's kinda the point, isn't it?
The original Cell was a mastermind. He had Piccolo's brain! Frieza's ruthlessness! And Vegeta's ego! Cell Max? Well, he's got big muscles and a bad temper. A giant green rage monster!
Sometimes you just need a big, dumb brute to smash things. I mean, aren't we all a little bit of a big, dumb brute sometimes?
The Simplicity Factor
Look, Dragon Ball gets complicated. Transformations on transformations! Power levels that make your head spin! Every villain has a backstory longer than War and Peace!
Cell Max cuts through all that. He's big. He's mean. He wants to destroy everything. End of story.
It's refreshing, isn't it? A return to the simpler days of "bad guy wants to wreck stuff, good guys stop him." No philosophical debates, no redemption arcs. Just pure, unadulterated mayhem.
Unpopular Opinion Alert!
Maybe it's just me, but I found him more intimidating than some recent villains. The sheer, unbridled rage. It's something that the series seemed to lack in recent installments.
I'm not saying he's the best villain ever. Heck, he's not even the best Cell! But he served his purpose.
He provided a good reason for Gohan and Piccolo to get super strong! And let's face it, Gohan needed that boost after spending years hitting the books.
The Visuals, Though!
Even if you didn't love the character, you gotta admit the fight scenes were epic! The animation really shined during the Cell Max brawl. Giant green energy blasts? Check! Jaw-dropping destruction? Double check!
The sheer scale of the fight was incredible. You really felt the threat he posed. All those explosions! All those broken buildings!
It was a visual spectacle, and honestly, that's half the reason we watch Dragon Ball, right?
Final Thoughts: Embrace the Dumb Fun
So, yeah, maybe I'm defending the big, green, mindless rage monster. Maybe I'm completely off my rocker. But I enjoyed Cell Max for what he was: a fun, destructive force of nature.
Sometimes, you don't need a complex villain. Sometimes, you just need a big, powerful enemy to punch. And Cell Max delivered that in spades.
So, let's all just agree to appreciate the simple joys of a giant monster smashing things. It's good for the soul. Besides, it's Dragon Ball, let's enjoy some over-the-top action, and not think too much!
What do you think? Am I crazy? Let me know!
(But be nice, please!)
