Or perhaps internal conflicts? Maybe Nina Antalk is finally going to snap and demand a raise. Leading to her forming her own rival platoon.

Imagine the drama! The betrayal! The paperwork!

Another possibility? Time skip! Everyone is older, wiser (questionable in Felli Loss's case), and dealing with the consequences of the first season. Layfon is now a grumpy teacher?

Perhaps a student manages to get on his nerves. So he is now forced to get back to action once again.

And what about Leerin Marfes? Has she finally confessed her undying love? Or is she still awkwardly blushing in the background?

Unpopular Opinion Time

Okay, here's the real hot take: I wouldn't want a direct continuation. I'd want something… different. More character focused.

Less giant bug battles. More exploring the relationships between the characters. I know, I know. Blasphemy!

But hear me out! The best parts of Chrome Shelled Regios were always the characters. Their struggles, their weirdness, their questionable fashion choices.

I want to see Layfon deal with his past trauma. I want to see Nina grow as a leader. I want to see Felli stop being so cryptic (okay, maybe not).

Maybe even explore the side characters. Give them some spotlight! We've got a whole cast of colorful personalities.

"But the action!" I hear you cry. "The epic battles!"

Okay, fine. Throw in some giant bug battles. But make them meaningful. Tie them into the characters' arcs.

Don't just have them fight because… reasons. I want stakes! I want emotion! I want to see Layfon angsting while simultaneously kicking monster butt.

Basically, I want Chrome Shelled Regios to be more than just a cool action show. I want it to be… gasp… a good story!
