Okay, unpopular opinion time! You know those super long Twitter threads? The ones that go on...and on...and on?

Yeah, those. Sometimes, I kinda wish people would just, like, write a blog post.

Hear me out! I love Twitter. I really do. Quick takes, funny memes, screaming into the void - it's all good.

But lately, it feels like everyone's moved their entire novel-writing operation to Twitter. Is it just me?

I'm talking detailed analysis of Game of Thrones (again!), intricate political breakdowns, and life stories worthy of a Pulitzer Prize.

All spread across twenty-seven tweets. And each tweet is a separate notification. My phone is screaming!

Why Blog Posts Are Secretly Awesome

A blog post? Think about it. One URL. All the information in one place. You can even use fancy fonts and pictures!

You don't have to click "show this thread" a million times to get to the end. Plus, you can bookmark it!

Imagine! One little bookmark instead of scrolling through what feels like the entire history of the internet.

And you can easily share the whole thing! No more copy-pasting twenty-seven different tweet links. Thank goodness.

The Consolidated Reading Experience

I know, I know, threads are "engaging." They allow for back-and-forth conversation. Fair point.

But honestly, sometimes I just want to read what someone has to say without feeling like I'm participating in a live archaeological dig.

Give me a nice, well-written blog post. Let me read it at my own pace, without the constant pressure to "engage."

It's like, I'm trying to read this intense breakdown of the socio-economic implications of Hamilton and then BAM! Cat meme.

Don't get me wrong, I love cat memes! Just not when I'm trying to understand revolutionary war finances. Priorities, people!

My Unpopular Proposition

So, here's my completely unhinged suggestion: let's bring back the blog post!

Let's embrace the beauty of long-form writing. Let's give our thumbs a rest from endlessly scrolling.

Let's let Twitter be Twitter: a place for witty remarks and fleeting thoughts. And let blogs be blogs: a place for in-depth analysis and carefully crafted arguments.

Think of it as decluttering your brain! Less Twitter thread chaos, more organized thinking.

Of course, this is just my opinion. You can disagree! Feel free to tweet at me about how wrong I am. But maybe, just maybe, do it in a blog post?
