Okay, let's talk D.Gray-man Hallow Season 2. Or, more accurately, the *lack* of it. Anyone else feel like they're waiting for Godot… but with more Innocence?
It’s been a minute, right? Like, a *really* long minute. I remember watching Hallow and thinking, "YES! This is it! The story's gonna pick up speed!"
Then… crickets. Just the sound of crickets chirping in the dark abyss of anime hiatuses.
Where's the Action?
Seriously, what’s the deal? We got reintroduced to Allen Walker and his crazy, cursed arm. We saw some awesome battles against the Noah Family.
And then… cliffhanger city. Population: Me (and probably you!).
Manga Mania: The Source Material
Now, I know what some of you are thinking: "Just read the manga!" And you're not wrong! The D.Gray-man manga is fantastic. Hoshino Katsura's art is gorgeous, even if the release schedule is… shall we say… *glacial*?
But sometimes, you just want to *see* things animated. To hear Allen's witty banter, to witness the epic fights in motion. Is that too much to ask?
Besides, the anime gave us some amazing voice acting. I can almost hear Allen's voice actor in my head, delivering sarcastic lines with perfect timing.
Unpopular Opinion Time!
Here comes the spicy take, folks! I’m gonna say it: I actually enjoyed Hallow. Yes, I know it's not a 1:1 adaptation. Yes, I know some people had issues with the animation style.
But I thought it was a solid return to the world of D.Gray-man. It was darker, grittier, and the stakes felt higher. Maybe that’s just me.
Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the original series. But Hallow had this intensity that really grabbed me.
The Hiatus Blues
The lack of a Season 2 is just… frustrating. We're left dangling! So many unanswered questions!
What happened to Kanda? Is Alma Karma going to be okay? Will Allen ever get a decent meal? These are the things that keep me up at night!
Okay, maybe not the meal part. But still! Plot points!
Hope Springs Eternal?
Look, I'm not giving up hope. Maybe someday, against all odds, we’ll get a D.Gray-man Hallow Season 2. Maybe a miracle will happen.
Until then, I’ll just keep rereading the manga, rewatching the anime, and dreaming of a world where Allen Walker gets the ending he deserves.
And who knows? Maybe one day, my slightly-unpopular opinion will become the popular one. A girl can dream, right?
So, who's with me? Let's start a petition! #DGraymanHallowSeason2 #JusticeForAllenWalker #AnimeComeback
