Seriously, does anyone actually pronounce that "X"? I mean, come on. Think about it for a second.

We're talking about one of anime's greatest hits. Hunter x Hunter has action, adventure, and characters we adore. But that "X"?

Here's the deal. I think we, as a collective anime fandom, have silently agreed to ignore it. Don't say the x.

Imagine walking up to your friend. "Hey, you watching Hunter... Ex... Hunter?" Nope. Doesn't work.

Think about it. Have you ever heard anyone actually say the "X"? Really?

I bet you haven't. Even when recommending it to friends, it's just "Hunter Hunter," right?

We all understand what we’re talking about. The context is King.

The title Hunter x Hunter already implies duality. Two hunters? Hunter times Hunter?

The "X" is symbolic! Don't let the letter ruin your immersion.

It's a cute design element. A little visual flair to an already amazing series.

"But...but the creator intended for it to be silent!" Okay, maybe?

But even if that's true, we, the viewers, have the power to interpret. We are the judge.

And I hereby declare that the "X" is... facultative. Optional, even!

So, are you team "Say the X" or team "Silent X"? Be honest.

I suspect most of you are secretly on my side. You're just afraid to admit it!

Maybe we should start a petition. "Officially Silent 'X' in Hunter x Hunter."

Next time you talk about Hunter x Hunter, just listen. Listen to how people refer to it.

I guarantee you'll rarely, if ever, hear someone audibly pronounce that "X."

Let's embrace the unspoken truth. The "X" is there. We see it. We acknowledge it. We just don't... say it.

Ultimately, it doesn't matter that much. Hunter x Hunter is awesome either way.

But let's be real. Some anime things are just better left... unpronounced. Especially the X
