Was he the hero we needed? Maybe. Was he the hero we *wanted*? That's where things get spicy. Hear me out.
Gohan’s always been…well, Gohan. Brainy, bookish, and secretly a powerhouse. But a powerhouse with major hesitation issues.
Then *bam!* Final Gohan arrives. Suddenly, he's rocking a new form. Eyes glowing red. Hair doing that gravity-defying thing all Saiyans love.
An Unpopular Opinion Incoming!
Here's the thing. And I might get flamed for this. Is Final Gohan…a little bit much?
Look, I love Gohan. I truly do. But this transformation feels… forced. Like the writers panicked and went, "Okay, Gohan needs a HUGE power-up! STAT!"
It's like they took all his potential and squeezed it into one ridiculously powerful, aesthetically questionable form. He's suddenly obliterating everything!
Piccolo gets his own fancy form. Vegeta and Goku are off planet. So naturally, Gohan has to step up. I get it.
The Owl Beast, or Just... Weird?
But the design... Let's be honest, it's... different. Some say owl-like. Others say vaguely demonic. I’m leaning towards "confused."
That Final Gohan face is definitely unique. Like they tried to make him look both angry and surprised at the same time. I'm not sure they succeeded.
I'm not saying it's *bad*. Just... unexpected. And maybe a little bit over the top. Compared to the clean lines of Super Saiyan Blue?
But, Like, Power Though!
Okay, the power is undeniable. He manhandled Cell Max. Which is impressive, even for Dragon Ball standards.
It's satisfying to see Gohan finally unleash his full potential. No more holding back! Time to smash some robots!
It's just... it feels like a temporary fix. A quick power boost to resolve a specific plot point. Will he keep this form?
Will Final Gohan Stick Around?
Will Final Gohan become his go-to transformation? Or will he go back to being the scholarly Saiyan with bursts of incredible, but inconsistent, power?
Only time will tell. But one thing's for sure, Final Gohan definitely made an impression. For better or for worse.
Maybe I'm just an old-school Dragon Ball fan. Maybe I prefer my transformations to be a little less… avian.
