Okay, Let's Talk About THAT Fear The Walking Dead Episode
Remember Season 4, Episode 10? The one where things got… interesting? Yeah, that one. I'm here to say something possibly controversial.
It's not *awful*. I said it! Don't @ me... yet.
The Balloon Saga: Was It Really *That* Bad?
Look, the balloons. I get it. It's cheesy. It's… colorful. But hear me out.
In a world overrun by flesh-eating zombies, wouldn't you cling to anything remotely hopeful? Even if that hope is attached to a weather balloon?
Maybe I'm just a sucker for sentimentality. Sue me. At least the episode tried something different.
Charlie: From Annoying to… Okay, Still Annoying?
Okay, Charlie. Let's be honest. Most of us weren't fans. Her introduction was… rough.
And her motives? Questionable, at best. But *Fear The Walking Dead* loves its redemption arcs, doesn't it?
Did she earn hers? Debatable. But I'm willing to give her a participation trophy. Maybe.
Naomi/June/Laura: Identity Crisis Central
This character. Oh boy. Was she Naomi? Was she June? Was she Laura, the chess-playing romantic interest?
It was a rollercoaster of identities. I honestly got whiplash trying to keep up with the name changes.
At least she had a cool backstory? Or several backstories? I lost count.
John Dorie: The One Good Thing?
Okay, can we all agree that John Dorie was a treasure? He was the highlight of this era, without a doubt.
Kind, capable, and armed with a six-shooter. What's not to love? He’s the only reason I kept watching.
Seriously, protect John Dorie at all costs. He deserved better. We all did.
The Big Twist: Time Jumps Galore!
The time jumps. Oh, the time jumps. They were confusing. They were disorienting. They were… a choice.
Did they work? Eh. Sometimes. Did they add intrigue? Maybe for some. Mostly they just made my head hurt.
I spent half the episode trying to figure out what timeline we were in. My brain needs a nap.
Unpopular Opinion: It's Not the WORST Episode
Look, I know. Season 4 has its detractors. And this episode certainly has its flaws.
But is it the *absolute worst* episode of Fear The Walking Dead? I'm not convinced. It’s just… different.
It's a chaotic, melodramatic, balloon-filled fever dream. But hey, at least it's memorable! Right? Maybe?
So, there you have it. My (possibly) unpopular opinion on Fear The Walking Dead Season 4, Episode 10. Now, tell me I'm wrong. Or maybe, just maybe, you secretly agree?
Let the debates begin!
