Okay, let's talk Fear the Walking Dead. Specifically, Season 7, Episode 15. "Amina." Remember that one?
"Amina": Streaming Options & My Hot Take
First things first: where can you even watch this episode online? Let's be real, we've all been there, frantically searching for a specific episode after forgetting to DVR it.
Your best bet? Likely AMC+ if you're already subscribed. Otherwise, services like Amazon Prime Video or iTunes might let you rent or buy it. Happy hunting!
But here's the thing. And this might be controversial. Brace yourselves.
Unpopular Opinion Time!
I think "Amina" is...fine. Not amazing. Not terrible. Just…fine. Is that allowed?
I know, I know. Some people *loved* it. Others *hated* it. I'm just sitting here, in the middle, like a zombie extra trying not to get noticed.
Maybe it's because I've watched so much zombie content that I'm slightly desensitized. A walker horde? Been there, seen that, survived the trauma (on screen, of course!).
Or perhaps it's the ever-shifting character dynamics. One minute they're allies, the next they're trying to steal each other's oxygen. It's exhausting!
"The constant betrayals! Can't we all just get along and fight the undead hordes together?"
Seriously, though. Remember back in the earlier seasons when it was more about survival against the zombies? I miss those days.
Don't get me wrong, I appreciate character development. But sometimes, it feels like the show focuses more on the interpersonal drama than, you know, the actual zombie apocalypse.
The Walking Tedious? Just Kidding (Mostly)
Look, I'm still watching. I'm invested. I'm just saying, "Amina" didn't exactly blow my socks off.
Maybe my expectations were too high? Or maybe I'm just secretly hoping for a massive plot twist involving a cure. (Probably not, but a girl can dream!)
The Fear the Walking Dead writers are good at keeping us on our toes. They are good at that.
And hey, even if an episode isn't a home run, it's still zombie entertainment! And that's a win in my book.
But Seriously, About That Episode...
I will say, the acting was solid as always. Everyone does their best with the material they're given.
And there were definitely some tense moments. You know, the kind where you're yelling at your TV screen, warning the characters about the impending doom they're obliviously walking into. Classic!
So, to sum it up: "Amina"? Watchable. Enjoyable (to a degree). But not exactly the kind of episode I'd rewatch multiple times. Unless I was really bored.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go find a show with slightly less backstabbing and slightly more brain-eating. Just for a change of pace.
But I'll be back for the next episode of Fear the Walking Dead. Because, admit it, we're all in too deep now to quit!
