Don't get me wrong. Wim Hof, aka The Iceman, is fascinating. He seems to have unlocked some secret superpower. But the show felt like watching a bunch of pampered A-listers suddenly discover the joys of... mild hypothermia.

We had the likes of Lee Mack and Holly Willoughby bravely hosting. Then we had the stars! Patrice Evra, Gabby Logan, and Alfie Deyes. All seemingly normal people until they're screaming in a frozen lake.
Look, I get it. They wanted to challenge themselves. They wanted to face their fears and find inner peace or whatever. But couldn't they have, like, learned to knit? Or maybe taken up competitive cheese sculpting?

The show was entertaining. Watching people’s reactions to the cold was pure gold. The gasps, the shaky breaths, the utter look of disbelief on their faces. Priceless.
But did it actually prove anything? Did it inspire me to go dunk myself in a freezing river? Absolutely not. My bathtub is plenty cold enough, thank you very much.
