Remember Head of the Class? That show about a bunch of gifted high schoolers? And their unconventional teacher? Good times! But whatever happened to those bright young minds?
The Smarty Pants: Where Are They Now?
Howard Hesseman (Mr. Charlie Moore)
First up, the legendary Mr. Moore. Howard Hesseman sadly passed away in 2022. He was a comedic genius. He gave us so many laughs.
Gabe Kaplan (Mr. Alex Stone)
Don't forget about Gabe Kaplan! Mr. Stone took over after Mr. Moore left. He's still around, doing what he does best. Some say he's a poker shark now!
Robin Givens (Darlene Merriman)
Ah, Darlene. Robin Givens was captivating. She's had a successful career ever since. TV, movies, you name it!
Dan Frischman (Arvid Engen)
Arvid was the lovable geek. Dan Frischman? Still acting! He also does some behind-the-scenes work too. Good for him!
Brian Robbins (Eric Mardian)
Remember Eric? Brian Robbins is a powerhouse now! He's a big-time producer. Talk about a career shift!
Kimberly Russell (Sarah Nevins)
Sarah was always so sweet. Kimberly Russell stepped away from acting. She's living a quieter life these days.
Tony O'Dell (Alan Pinkard)
Alan was the aspiring comedian. Tony O'Dell keeps acting! He's popped up in various roles over the years.
Khrystyne Haje (Simone Foster)
Simone had some serious style. Khrystyne Haje has done some acting since. But her passions also lie elsewhere!
Tannis Vallely (Janice Lazarotto)
Janice was so spunky. Tannis Vallely pursued a career outside of acting. Sometimes a different path is the right one.
De'voreaux White ( Aristotle McKenzie)
Let's not forget Aristotle! D'Voreaux White kept acting. He appeared in various TV shows and films too!
Rain Pryor (T.J. Jones)
T.J., the tough girl with a heart of gold. Rain Pryor is still performing. She's embraced her comedic roots!
Unpopular Opinion Time!
Okay, here's my unpopular opinion. Ready? The later seasons weren't *that* bad. I said what I said!
Sure, the original cast had a certain magic. But the new kids brought something fresh. Maybe I just have a soft spot for cheesy 80s sitcoms.
Head of the Class might be a bit dated now. But it still holds a special place in many hearts. Those gifted kids taught us a few things about life.
Whether you loved the show or just vaguely remember it. It's fun to see where the cast ended up. Some are famous, some are not. But they all gave us some laughs.
So, next time you're flipping through channels. And you stumble upon a Head of the Class rerun. Give it a watch! You might be surprised at how much you enjoy it.
And remember, even the nerdiest kids can grow up to do amazing things. Just look at Brian Robbins! (No offense to nerds, I consider myself one!)
It was a fun little show, wasn't it? They may be older, but this show's legacy remains. What were your favorite episodes?
