Akeno's "Helpful" Advice

Akeno, oh Akeno. Always a fan favorite. Providing… ahem… helpful advice, as only she can.

Her advice is... well... let's just say it definitely helps Issei focus on his… um… "training." In a way, she pushes Issei to be more expressive. If you know what I mean!

I really do wonder what is going through Akeno's head. This episode really proves that!

The Actual Point of the Episode (Maybe?)

Beneath all the… ahem… distractions, there might have been a plot point. Something about getting stronger, maybe?

Honestly, I was too busy laughing to fully grasp the intricacies of the sacred gear training. I wonder if I even wanted to.

I am not going to lie, it was very hard to concentrate on the actual plot.

Unpopular Opinion Time!

Here's where I get controversial. Ready? I think this episode, while over-the-top, is… kind of… good? Like, guilty-pleasure-good.

It embraces its absurdity. It never pretends to be anything it isn't. And that's strangely refreshing.

Everyone knows that is what the series is about. Fan service and over the top comedy!

Hear Me Out!

Look, I know it's not high art. It's not winning any awards for deep storytelling. But it's fun!

Sometimes, you just need something silly and unapologetically horny. And High School DxD delivers that in spades.

The episode had the perfect blend of over the top fan service and subtle humor. This is a good combination in my book!
