The finale was, well, a finale. It wrapped things up in a pretty definitive way.

It felt rushed. Like they were trying to cram a whole season's worth of plot into a few episodes. Blame it on having only 13!

More exploring Hope's powers? More backstabbing between rival factions? More romance (or at least more brooding romantic tension)?

Is Binge-Watching to Blame?

Maybe we're just spoiled by binge-watching these days. We devour a season in a week and then complain it's not enough.

Guilty as charged! I'm definitely part of the problem. The problem of wanting MORE MIKAELSONS!

But seriously, 13 episodes felt…economical. Like they were on a strict budget for vampire screen time.

Deep down, I know that The Originals had a good run. All good things must end, etc., etc.

But that doesn't mean I have to like it! I can still mourn the shorter season order.

I will stand by my unpopular opinion: Season 5 needed more episodes. End of story!
