Okay, let's talk about Attack on Titan. Specifically, how many episodes are LEFT?
Feels like we've been asking this question since... well, since Eren first saw the Colossal Titan! Remember simpler times?
The Saga of Seasons (and Splits!)
Attack on Titan's broadcast history is… complicated. It's been chopped and diced more than a Titan's nape by Levi.
We had the first season. Then a long wait. Then season two. Then... things got weird with Part 1s and Part 2s and Finals and *Final* Finals.
Seriously, who designed this release schedule? Was it Zeke playing mind games with us all?
Counting the (Rumbling) Chickens Before They Hatch
So, technically, we've wrapped up "Attack on Titan Final Season THE FINAL CHAPTERS Special 2". That aired, didn't it?
But did it REALLY wrap everything up? Did it give everyone the ending they wanted? (Spoiler alert: probably not!).
Which brings me to my potentially unpopular opinion...
Unpopular Opinion Time: It's Never *Really* Over
Hear me out. Attack on Titan is a HUGE franchise.
There's money to be made. There are stories to be told. And frankly, there's an endless supply of Titans to be fought.
Do I think we'll get a full-blown "Season 5" in the traditional sense? Maybe not.
Spin-offs, Sequels, and Side Stories: Oh My!
But consider this: look at other popular anime and manga. They rarely truly die.
Think about spin-offs focusing on Levi's backstory (we all want it!). Or a series exploring Marley before Eren attacked.
What about a lighthearted comedy where Sasha just eats potatoes? The possibilities are endless!
The Ending... for Now
So, officially, the main Attack on Titan story is done. Fin. Kaput.
But in the grand scheme of anime and manga, "done" is a relative term. It's more like "on pause".
I predict that within the next few years, we'll see *something* Attack on Titan-related. Maybe a movie? A special?
Keep Your ODM Gear Ready
The point is, don't be surprised if you hear the Attack on Titan theme song blasting from your speakers again sometime soon.
The Rumbling may have stopped, but the franchise's engine is still running.
So, to answer the original question: How many episodes left? For the main story? Zero. For the *Attack on Titan* universe as a whole? Never say never.
Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go rewatch Levi absolutely DESTROY some Titans. Just because.
