Okay, fellow Attack on Titan fanatics! Let's talk about something that's been keeping us up at night. How many episodes are REALLY in Season 4 Part 2?
The Great Episode Guessing Game
Seriously, figuring this out feels like decoding Eren's plans. It's a tangled web of manga chapters, anime pacing, and studio decisions. My brain hurts just thinking about it.
We all remember the agonizing wait between parts, right? The cliffhangers felt personal. So, naturally, we need a clear conclusion!
The Official Answer (Kind Of)
Officially, Season 4 Part 2 had 12 episodes. But that felt... insufficient, didn't it? It barely scratched the surface of the ending!
They rushed through so many key plot points. And left us gasping for more. We needed a Part 3.
Then, BAM! Part 3 was announced. Divided into two parts, because why not?
My Unpopular Opinion: It Should Have Been More
Here's where I might lose some of you. But hear me out! I think Season 4, as a whole, needed MORE episodes.
Yes, I said it. Maybe even a full, glorious 24-episode season. Imagine the character development! The nuanced storytelling!
We could've seen more of Reiner's internal struggles. Explored Historia's role in more depth. Even given Floch a chance to... well, maybe not redeem himself, but at least explain his obsession with Eren better.
Pacing Problems
The pacing in the final parts felt frantic at times. Characters made huge decisions with seemingly little justification. The manga had more breathing room.
Some scenes felt like they were cut short. Important dialogues were truncated. The emotional impact suffered.
Don't get me wrong, the animation was stunning. The voice acting was phenomenal. But sometimes, even the prettiest package can't compensate for rushed content.
Why It Matters
Attack on Titan is more than just giant naked people fighting. It's a story about war, prejudice, and the cyclical nature of violence.
These themes deserve careful exploration. And frankly, cramming everything into a limited number of episodes felt like a disservice.
So, while Season 4 Part 2 *technically* had 12 episodes, I'm still holding out hope for a director's cut. A super-extended edition. Something to truly do justice to Hajime Isayama's masterpiece.
Let's be real.
We all wanted more, right? More Eren screaming, more Levi being a badass, and more potatoes with Sasha. Is that too much to ask?
Maybe someday, we'll get the definitive Attack on Titan experience we deserve. Until then, we'll just keep rewatching, debating, and theorizing. And that's okay too.
What do you think? Did Season 4 get the episode count it deserved? Let me know your (potentially unpopular) opinions!
