Okay, JoJo fans, let's talk. This might be controversial. How many seasons of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure are there, really?
The "Official" Answer
Most people say there are five. They'll tell you about Phantom Blood, Battle Tendency, Stardust Crusaders, Diamond is Unbreakable, and Golden Wind.
Then they might mention Stone Ocean, Steel Ball Run, and JoJolion. But those are "parts," not "seasons," supposedly. Right...
I think it is just weird, but anyway...
My (Unpopular) Opinion
Hold on. Hear me out. I think there are way more than five seasons. Maybe even eight!
I mean, come on. Each part of JoJo is basically its own show. New characters, new story, new setting.
It's like saying Game of Thrones only had one season because it's the same overall world. That's just silly.
The "But They're Called Parts!" Argument
Yeah, yeah, I know. They're called "parts" in the manga. But anime adaptations often change things.
They split Stardust Crusaders into two broadcast seasons, right? So, is Stardust Crusaders a "season" or a "part"? It's messy!
Plus, they have opening themes and ending themes, isn't that what a season contains?
Let's Break It Down
Think about it like this. Each "part" is a self-contained arc. A new adventure.
Phantom Blood is season one. Simple origin story, gothic vibes. Definitely its own thing.
Battle Tendency? Season two. Joseph Joestar's antics are WILDLY different from Jonathan's stoicism. More vibrant, different tone. The pillar men is such a threat.
Stardust Crusaders? Okay, maybe this is two seasons. Egypt Arc and whatnot. But still, a clear beginning and end to Jotaro's journey.
Diamond is Unbreakable? Season four. Quirky town, serial killer, slice-of-life-ish. A completely different feel from the globetrotting of Stardust Crusaders.
Golden Wind? Season five. Mafia adventures in Italy! Giorno Giovanna is a very good gangster boss!
We can keep going! Stone Ocean is in prison!
The Real Question: Does It Matter?
Honestly? Probably not. Call them parts, call them seasons. Whatever makes you happy.
The important thing is that JoJo's Bizarre Adventure is awesome. And we all love it, no matter how it's packaged.
Whether you think there are five seasons or eight, we can all agree that Araki is a genius. And those poses? Legendary.
So, what is your opinion? Are there five seasons, or are there a lot more JoJo to enjoy?
Let's agree to disagree and keep watching.
