Okay, let's get real. We've all been there. You're scrolling through Hulu, and BAM! Three must-watch shows drop on the same day.

It's a TV lover's dilemma. But how many shows can you actually record at once on Hulu? The answer might surprise you. It definitely surprised me.

The Hulu Recording Reality

Hulu's live TV option is great. Finally, I can ditch cable! But then the recording limitations hit.

With the standard Hulu + Live TV plan, you can record on two devices simultaneously. Yep, just two.

That means if your partner is recording *The Bachelor* finale (eye roll), and your kid is snagging *SpongeBob*, you're out of luck. Say goodbye to recording that documentary about competitive cheese sculpting.

Upgrade for Unlimited-ish Recording

Hulu does offer an add-on for "Unlimited Screens". But is it truly unlimited? Spoiler: not really. It is a bit misleading, isn't it?

This upgrade lets you watch on unlimited screens at home. Recording is also "unlimited." However, there is a major catch that they don't like to advertise.

Recordings are still tied to your storage. The catch is a 50 hour storage limit. Once you hit that, you'll need to delete old recordings to make room.

My Unpopular Opinion

Here's where I might lose some of you. Fifty hours? That's not a lot. Seriously, a weekend of binge-watching could fill that up easily.

Don't get me wrong, I like Hulu. I pay for it and watch it every week.

But unlimited storage is *not* a luxury in 2024. It’s practically a basic human right! Okay, maybe I'm being dramatic. But you get my point.

Other streaming services are offering cloud DVR with far more storage. Some offer features that allow you to skip commercials.
