Okay, let’s talk about *I Love That For You*. Remember that show? You know, the one that had us all thinking about home shopping networks in a completely different light?
It came and went so fast! Did everyone even watch it? Or was I alone on my couch, chuckling to myself at Joanna Gold’s wild ride?
So, Where IS I Love That For You Anyway?
The big question! Where can we binge this comedic masterpiece? (Okay, maybe I’m overselling it slightly. Just slightly.)
Currently, I Love That For You isn't on Netflix, Hulu, or Amazon Prime. It's like the show is playing hide-and-seek.
It originally aired on Showtime, and thankfully, that's still where you can find it. So, if you've got Showtime, or the Showtime add-on for streaming services, you're in luck!
If you don't have Showtime, maybe it's time to cozy up with a friend who does. You know, for "research purposes". For serious comedy study, of course.
My (Slightly Unpopular) Opinion: It’s Underrated!
Confession time: I thought this show was hilarious. Like, genuinely laugh-out-loud funny.
Vanessa Bayer is amazing! She perfectly portrays that blend of desperation and ambition. Plus, her character's awkwardness is just so relatable, right?
I mean, who *hasn’t* stretched the truth a little to get ahead? Don’t answer that. This is a safe space. Mostly.
Why You Should Re-Watch (Or Watch For The First Time!)
Let's be honest. We all need a good laugh. And *I Love That For You* delivers.
The supporting cast is stellar. Molly Shannon is always brilliant. And the whole home shopping world provides such fertile ground for satire.
It also asks some interesting questions. Like, how far would you go to achieve your dreams? And is it okay to fake it 'til you make it, even if it's, you know, a *huge* lie?
Okay, maybe it doesn't *ask* those questions so much as *hints* at them while simultaneously making you snort your drink. Either way, it's good stuff.
Finding Your Inner Joanna Gold (Don't)
Now, I'm not suggesting you go out and start faking cancer to keep your job. Definitely don't do that.
But maybe, just maybe, you can draw some inspiration from Joanna's unwavering belief in herself. Even if that belief is… misguided.
Ultimately, *I Love That For You* is a reminder that we're all a little bit messed up. And that's okay. Especially if we can laugh about it.
So, go find it on Showtime! And if you don't like it? Well, that's okay too. I still love it for you. (See what I did there?)
Seriously though, give it a shot. You might just find your new favorite comfort show. Or, you know, something to watch while you fold laundry. Whatever works.
Happy watching! And remember: don’t lie about having cancer. Ever.
