But...What About the Sword?
Now, a dungeon main character is a bit different than chips. They usually come with baggage. Actual baggage, like a sword that’s been used to slay dragons. Emotional baggage, like a tragic backstory involving a lost love and a talking cat.
But that’s okay! Everyone has baggage. Yours might be an obsession with collecting rubber ducks. Mine is probably writing this article. We all have our quirks.
The point is, those quirks, that "baggage," are part of what makes someone interesting. It's the reason we want to know them in the first place!
Embrace the Weirdness!
So, is it wrong to pick up a dungeon main character? Absolutely not! In fact, it’s probably the most exciting thing you could do all week.
Think about it: You’re getting to know someone who’s probably seen things you can only dream of. Someone who can probably handle themselves in a fight. Someone who probably has awesome stories to tell.
Imagine the adventures! The late-night talks around a campfire! The epic battles against forces of evil! (Okay, maybe just helping them move furniture, but still!).
A Word of Caution
Of course, there are a few things to keep in mind. Dungeon main characters can be a little… intense. They might have trouble adjusting to normal life. They might accidentally set your kitchen on fire while trying to cook dinner.
Be patient. Be understanding. And maybe invest in a good fire extinguisher.
Also, be prepared for the competition. If your dungeon main character is even remotely attractive (and let’s be honest, they usually are), you’re going to have rivals. Other people who want to join their party. Other people who want to share their chips.
The Bottom Line: It's About Heart!
But don’t let that discourage you! If you feel a connection, if you think this person is worth fighting for (literally or figuratively), then go for it! Take a chance!
Remember, love is all about taking risks. About embracing the unknown. About accepting someone, flaws and all. Especially when those flaws include wielding a ridiculously oversized sword and occasionally attracting monsters to your apartment.
So, the next time you see a lone hero looking lost and confused, maybe reaching for the same bag of chips, don't hesitate. Say hello. Offer them a quest. Who knows, you might just find your own happily ever after.
