Rune Factory 5 on PC: Will We Ever See It?
Okay, let's talk about something near and dear to my (and probably your) heart: Rune Factory 5. Specifically, the burning question: PC port, when?! It's been out on Switch for a while, and I'm starting to feel neglected.
The Switch Is Great, But…
Look, the Nintendo Switch is a fantastic little console. It really is. But sometimes, I just want to play on my big monitor with my comfy chair and, you know, actual graphics. Is that too much to ask?
I mean, the Rune Factory series has a history with PC! Rune Factory 4 Special is already there, looking all pretty. It feels like Rune Factory 5 is deliberately teasing us at this point.

So, what's the deal? Any whispers, rumors, or blatant lies to cling to? Not really, sadly. It's mostly just hopeful cries into the digital void.
We get the occasional article speculating, "Could it happen?" And I'm like, "Yes! Please let it happen! My farm depends on it!" But then reality crashes down, and it's back to Switch-sized farming.
My Unpopular Opinion
Here's where things get spicy. I think it's taking too long. Like, seriously, what's the hold-up? Games get ported all the time!
Maybe I'm impatient. Maybe I'm being unreasonable. But I think a Rune Factory 5 PC port would be a massive hit. Think of the modding potential!
Can you imagine customizing your farm with crazy new crops and befriending even weirder monsters? Oh, the possibilities! I am dreaming...
Why I'm Still Holding Out Hope
Despite the lack of concrete evidence, I refuse to give up. My hope is eternal. (Okay, maybe not eternal, but at least until the next Rune Factory game comes out).
There's always a chance! Developers love money, and PC gamers love Rune Factory. It's a match made in heaven (or maybe in a Harvest Goddess shrine).
The Waiting Game
In the meantime, what can we do? We can keep asking nicely (or not-so-nicely) on social media. We can write strongly worded letters to Marvelous Europe. We can dream.
And of course, we can keep playing on our Switches, secretly wishing it was on our PCs. Maybe someday, our dreams will come true. Fingers crossed!

Dear Marvelous, please consider us PC players! We promise to buy the game (probably multiple times). We'll even write you fanfiction.
Just give us a little Rune Factory 5 love on PC. We're begging you! We'll even name our in-game pet after you. Is that enough incentive?
