Remember when life was simpler? Well, the Jersey Shore crew decided to take us back to that feeling, albeit in a very 2020 kind of way, with Season 4, Episode 1 of Family Vacation.

The gang decided to quarantine together to film the show, in a resort. Can you imagine being locked down with Pauly D, Vinny, Mike "The Situation", Deena, Jenni "JWoww", and Angelina? Sounds like a recipe for chaos and, thankfully, lots of laughs!

Bubble Buddies: The Quarantine Chronicles

Right off the bat, the episode highlighted how serious everyone was taking the quarantine protocols. Constant testing, masks, and social distancing, it felt like they were in their own little protected bubble.

But, of course, even a pandemic can’t stop the Jersey Shore crew from having a good time. The first episode was all about reuniting and getting used to this new normal, together!

Mike "The Situation", fresh off his prison stint and newfound sobriety, was on a mission to spread positivity. His commitment to being the optimistic voice of reason was actually quite heartwarming. Who knew The Situation would become the spiritual guru of the group?

Cake Boss Meets Meatballs: A Jersey Feast

One of the highlights of the episode had to be the arrival of Cake Boss, Buddy Valastro. The crew collaborated with Cake Boss to create a special, Italy-themed dinner.

Seeing the Jersey Shore crew, especially Deena, getting excited about the food was pure joy. It's like watching kids in a candy store! From elaborate pasta dishes to a cake that looked like the leaning tower of Pisa, this was a true Jersey feast.

Plus, Deena, being the proud Italian-American that she is, was in her element, teaching Cake Boss a thing or two about meatballs. Can you imagine?

Vinny's Lonely Hearts Club: A Quarantine Romance?

Poor Vinny, always the bachelor of the group, found himself feeling a little lonely in quarantine. The episode touched on his desire for companionship.

Vinny even joked about finding love within the quarantine bubble. Could a Jersey Shore quarantine romance be on the horizon? The possibilities are endless!

"I need someone to fist pump with, and it can't always be Pauly," Vinny quipped, highlighting his single status.

Drama Brewing? The Calm Before the Storm

While the episode was mostly lighthearted and fun, there were hints of potential drama brewing. Angelina's marriage was still a hot topic, and you could sense some tension there.

The other roommates were always tiptoeing around the topic in order to prevent drama. But, let's be honest, what is Jersey Shore without a little bit of drama?

Overall, the first episode of Jersey Shore Family Vacation Season 4 was a welcome escape. It reminded us that even in tough times, laughter and love can prevail. It's great to see the crew back together, supporting each other and providing some much-needed entertainment.

Bring on the shore store, the tanning beds, and whatever else this season has in store for us! I will watch it all.
